HISTORIA DE LA JORNADA C
En la actualidad la jornada ofrece la modalidad técnica en guianza turística con profundización en ingles; tenemos convenio inter administrativo con el SENA , entidad que lidera el aprendizaje técnico en el país. Nuestros egresados reciben el titulo de bachiller técnico en guianza turística lo que les permite acceder al SENA al titularse como técnico profesional en turismo o a la universidad pedagógica y tecnológica colombiana (sede Duitama ) al titularse como administrador en hotelería y turismo ambas entidades le homologan las asignaturas técnicas tomados en el colegio. También pueden desempeñarse solublemente en una agencia de viajes, cajas de compensación agencias operadoras del turismo, hoteles y centros vacacionales y creando su propia empresa turística.
Nuestro horario normal de clases es de 12:10 pm a 6:10 pm nuestra jornada se ha destacado en los últimos años por la participación y obtención de premios en eventos culturales y artísticos como: concursos de danzas, de declamación, deportivos, y en asocio con la alcaldía municipal, en la logística de las festividades de Sogamoso. Igualmente recibió 2 distinciones de la policía nacional por su aporte en la campaña de seguridad ciudadana a través del proyecto “ patrulla estudiantil “ del cual es pionero en el departamento de Boyacá, en la actualidad buscamos formar parte , en asocio con la secretaria de desarrollo de Sogamoso, de la oficina municipal de turismo. Nuestro reto es liderar con el apoyo de entidades publicas y privadas, el crecimiento económico y cultural de nuestra región , a través del desarrollo turístico ,de la formación del estudiantes integrales y de ciudadanos conscientes de la responsabilidad social .
La jornada c del integrado nació en 1976 en las instalaciones de la concentración escolar “Valdés Tavera”, para ampliar la cobertura educativa de los grados 6° ya que en ese momento funcionaban únicamente tres instituciones oficiales en Sogamoso . En el año 1988 se graduó la primera promoción de bachilleres académicos en la sede donde funciona actualmente, en 1999 opto el énfasis con profundización en Ingles para el nivel de educación vocacional. En el 2007 se estableció el bachillerato técnico en turismo.
